I first created a personal website just to practice writing HTML when I worked in the Computer Centre at Wolverhampton University. It started out as just a listing of hobbies and interests, some pages contained quite a lot of detailed information while others were just lists of links to other sources of information. I soon discovered that maintaining a website took up quite a bit of one's spare time and so some of the pages fell by the wayside.

Leaving the University has forced me to decide whether to keep the website going or not - it has given me a lot of pleasure researching the information on the pages, particularly the history of Bridgnorth and the interesting places to see on my own doorstep in Shropshire. I have had lots of contacts from all over the world from people seeking help with their searches for information about relatives and places and it has been a pleasure trying to help them.

I decided to keep the site, but at the same time to try and give it a "makeover" and add some pages about my "domestic" interests - family, home and garden etc., so if it looks in a bit of a mess, my apologies.
